A&M-Texarkana Lecture on Medieval Beliefs on Demonic Possession

The Program for Learning and Community Engagement at Texas A&M University-Texarkana will present a faculty lecture on medieval beliefs regarding demonic possession on April 4 from 12PM-1PM in University Center room 217. The lecture is being presented by Courtney Hubbart, an adjunct professor in the A&M-Texarkana Department of History.

According to a press release, the lecture will feature a discussion about the fear medieval Christians lived with concerning demonic possession, who they believed was most at risk, and what would happen to them if they lost control of their bodies to demons.

PLACE is a faculty-led program designed to create a community of learners comprising A&M-Texarkana students, faculty, staff and the community at large. PLACE chooses an annual theme around which to organize a lecture series and other activities that provide focal points for learning and discussion. This year’s theme is “science and technology.”
