On Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at approximately 6:20AM officers of the Texarkana Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Laurel Street in reference to a report of a kidnapping. When officers arrived on the scene, they encountered an injured 25 year old female who was determined to be a victim of an aggravated robbery. Immediately following the arrival of the officers at the scene, the 911 Communications Center received another report from a citizen that a five-year old child had been located walking near the intersection of East 12th and State Line Avenue, and the child claimed she had been kidnapped.

The investigation determined the victim had returned to her home shortly before 6:20AM  driving a 4 door, gold colored Honda CRV, and her five-year old child was seated in the back seat of the vehicle. At some point after arriving in front of her residence, the victim was attacked by two men, and after pulling the victim from her vehicle, the men took control of her vehicle and fled the area in an unknown direction. The investigation also revealed the suspects let the five-year old child out of the vehicle at an undetermined location not long after fleeing the 1500 block of Laurel Street. The child did not receive any reported injuries as a result of this incident, and the 25 year old victim’s injuries were not serious in nature. Both victims were taken to a local hospital where they were medically screened and treated accordingly. Information developed during the investigation leads officers to believe the suspects are black or Hispanic males.

At approximately 9:45AM, the gold colored Honda CRV stolen from the victim was recovered in an abandoned condition by Texarkana Texas Police Department officers in a wooded area near the 2100 block of Pine Street.

No other information concerning the suspects is known at this time.
