Spring is here and that means a lot of great events are going on. This Saturday is no exception. The 7th Annual March Masquerade is Saturday,  April 2, at 7PM at the Texarkana Convention Center on Cowhorn Creek Loop.

There will be live entertainment by "I've Heard Worse" plus a silent auction. Tickets are $40 per person, $75 for couples or $50 per person at the door. Tickets will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and two drink tickets per person. Cancer survivors and current fighters get in free, but you must RSVP.

We talked with Barbara Walker today about the event on air. Her brother Michael "Sumo" Sams lost his battle with cancer in 2009 and shortly after Barbara started organizing the first March Masquerade in his memory. The Relay for Life Team Sumoas' name is also in his honor.

The event is is the annual fundraiser for Team Sumoas.

Masks are not required but definitely encouraged.  Dress is business casual and cocktail attire. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

For more information or if you are a current fighter or survivor please call Barbara Walker at (870) 571- 8188
