4th or July DWI Mobilization

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, is the theme of this years DWI Mobilization by Texarkana, Arkansas Police.You may not realize it, but the 4th of July is Number 1 for the most alcohol related fatal crashes in this country.To save lives on the roadway during this holiday week officers will be cracking down on impaired driving through increased patrols and other enforcement methods.

Officer Kristi Mitchell says officers will be out in force, and will catch drunk drivers and arrest them. No warnings, no excuses. If you drive impaired you will be arrested.

The Texarkana, Arkansas Police Deparmtnet recommends:

Plan a safe way home before the fun starts.

Before Drinking, designate a sober driver.

If you are impaired, use a taxi, call a sober friend or family member or use public transportation.

If you happen to see  a drunk driver on the road do not hesitate to call 911
