3rd Annual Six Leg Fun Run and 5k January 28

If you are an animal lover then you don't want to miss the 3rd Annual Six Leg Fun Run & 5k in downtown Texarkana. It all takes place on Sunday, January 28 at Front Street Stage.

The event benefits the Animal Care & Adoption Center of Texarkana. Proceeds will go to the purchase of an "Adoption Trailer". The trailer will allow the Adoption Center to bring animals that need a forever home to community events and reach more people that would like to adopt a pet.

Dogs that are vetted and leashed are welcome to join in with you as you walk or run the course.

According to the Facebook Events page, awards will be presented to the overall male and female finishers and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.

Awards will be presented after the pet contest has concluded.

All race packets will be picked up on race day. Packets will include a race t-shirt, race bib, and other goodies. Race day registration will begin at 12:30PM.
