A favorite southern rock band will headline the Ark-La-Tex Outdoor Expo on Friday,  February 2, 2018.   After more than three decades together, 38 Special will bring their signature sound of Southern Rock to over 100 cities in a year, including Hope, Ark., by performing at Hempstead Hall on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Hope.

Concert-goers will be amazed by the explosive power of the band's performance. Their many Gold and Platinum Album Awards stand in testament to the endurance of the legendary powerhouse. With album sales in excess of 20 million, the band is mostly associated with their arena-rock pop smashes, "Hold On Loosely," "Rockin' Into the Night," "Caught Up in You," "Fantasy Girl," "If I'd Been the One," "Back Where You Belong," "Chain Lightnin'," "Second Chance," "Teacher Teacher" and others.

The Ark-La-Tex Outdoor Expo will feature over twenty vendor booths and educational exhibits of interest to all outdoorsmen. Participating vendors will have boats, all-terrain vehicles, tractors, duck and turkey calls, cabin lamps, leather goods, fishing lures, archery equipment, knives, lawn mowers, and even jewelry for those who enjoy the great outdoors.

“This will be our second Expo and we look forward to over twenty vendors with a great variety of merchandise,” said Dolly Henley, director of Hempstead Hall.   “I feel that this Expo is a good fit for our area because we have so many people in the ARK-LA-TEX who enjoy the outdoors.  Hempstead Hall will be the place to be in early February if you are looking for a new boat, tractor, lawn mower, or atv, or if you just need to upgrade your hunting, fishing or camping supplies.”
